Bee populations seem to be up this year on the Central Coast! In light of all the bad reports we've heard about recent years, this is good news. It's on the local KSBW website. It seems that all the rain and abundant wildflower growth has been good for the bees this spring.
It's too bad that KSBW spins it this way: "The buzz of new swarms is a growing concern for a lot of residents." Geez. Come on people. Who are these panicked residents anyway?
I say, "Go bees!" Ya'll are welcome at my house anytime.

We are with you on this, go bees, you are welcome here anytime. Nice to hear their population is up. Who in the world would be upset! There are 6 billion people on the planet and few people find that troubling.
I don't understand that attitude either. Good grief, I wish people would educate themselves about bees. I'm glad to hear their numbers are up this season though...let's hope their numbers keep rising.
That's right. Scary bees.

At least if people are seeing swarms, they're paying some attention, you know? Around here, folks are finally calling about swarms rather than reaching for pesticides.
